Pilate's Visionary Wife and the Innocence of Eve: An Old Saxon Source for the Old English "Genesis B" [The author argues that the "Genesis B" poet tells the story of the Fall according to Germanic literary tradition. Because Eve needs to be innocent, the poet adapted an episode from the "Heliand" concerning Pilate's wife's vision.
