Title:
Pilate's Visionary Wife and the Innocence of Eve: An Old Saxon Source for the Old English "Genesis B" [The author argues that the "Genesis B" poet tells the story of the Fall according to Germanic literary tradition. Because Eve needs to be innocent, the poet adapted an episode from the "Heliand" concerning Pilate's wife's vision. Thus Eve ensares her husband thinking that she is being given special visions of God. Title note from Feminae.].
