Contributor(s): Title: Leonor Teles: Representations of a Portuguese Queen [When describing Oueen Leonor Teles, the chronicles Fernão Lopes (c.1380- c. 1459) depicts her as a worthy antagonist of his hero, King João I. Both good and bad qualities are attributed to Leonor, all of which help support João's succession and Portugese independence from Castile.
