Contributor(s): Title: The Sepulchre of Saint Juliana in the Collegiate Church of Santillana del Mar [The author argues that the reliefs of St. Juliana, the Virgin and Child, Christ in Majesty, and apostles all originally decorated a monumental sepulchre of the martyr Saint Juliana in the latter half of the twelfth century. In the fifteenth century Bishop Alonso de Cartagena translated her relics to an altar and remodelled the now-empty tomb to take up less space.
