Title:
Testimoni di santita: I notai nel codicetto dei miracoli di Santa Sperandia (1276-1278) [A 14th-century manuscript records miracles of the Umbrian hermit Sperandia in a legalistic format signed by notaries. All the stories date to the period after the saint's death in the 13th century and relate to the part of Cingoli in which she was buried. The monastery honoring Sperandia was absorbed by San Marco, a nearby house of nuns,in the 14th century. The documents, besides honoring the saint, indicate the development of the region of Cingoli surrounding San Marco. Appendix: Archive of the Monastery of Santa Sperandia.Title note supplied by Feminae.].
