Title:
Simpliciter et de plamno, ac sine sterpitu et figura iudicii: il processo di ità matrimoniale vertente Giorgio Zaccarotto e Maddalena di Sicilia (Padova e Venezia 1455-1458): una lettura storico-giuridica [Fantino Dandolo, bishop of Padua, was excluded from the Zaccarotto-di Sicilia case on the grounds that he wanted the girl’s dowry for the Church. Nonetheless, the judge in Venice ruled against the validity of the marriage, and Maddalena remained a nun. Maddalena's age at the time of marriage (11 years old) and proof of Zaccarotto's failure to consummate - despite his claim to the contrary - told in the girl's favor. (Additional documentation on CD-ROM accompanying the book). Title note supplied by Feminae.].
