  • Primary Evidence: Manuscript; Liverpool, Liverpool Cathedral, MS Radcliffe 6. Vellum in original binding. 89 x 64 mm. See Appendix I (pages 247-251) for a complete description. The authors argue, based on a dedicatory anagram and clothing styles, that the manuscript dates between 1475
  • Illustrations: Four figures including Plate Nine in color. All the illustrations are from the Liverpool manuscript. The color plate reproduces the first page of text and the presentation miniature in which the lady donor gives the manuscript to the Queen. Figure Ninety-Six reproduces the dedicatory poem in the manuscript. The beginning and end of the acrostic "ELISABETH" are clearly set off with more elaborate decorations.
