  • Abstract: In Joan of Arc's canonization trial, the Devil's Advocates made serious charges against her modesty, temperance, humility, fortitude, perseverance, and military mission. in spite of fierce rebuttals by the defense team, the jury of Counsultors found much merit in the accusations, but the judges (the cardinals and the pope) gave her a resounding acquittal.
