  • Description: The Pagan Royal Couple is the last part of a long poem entitled Der Saelden Hort (The Treasury of Salvation). The second part of Der Saelden Hort concerns Mary Magdalen including this story in which she converts the childless king and queen of Provence. Once they have a child through the Magdalen's prayer, they travel to Rome. However, they undergo a long separation only to be reunited through their trust in God.
