Title:
Ulrich von Liechtenstein
Creator:
Description:
The Codex Manesse is a compilation of verses from 140 poets, many of whom were rulers. A large number of the nobles are shown in full armour in their heraldic colors and devices. Here, Ulrich von Liechtenstein is depicted. His face is obscured by his device, a figure of a crowned Venus holding a flaming torch in one hand and a red arrow of love in the other.
