Title:
Gilbert of Tournai's Letter to Isabelle of France: An Edition of the Complete Text [The author works from a recently discovered manuscript of the letter that the Franciscan preacher wrote to the daughter of King Louis VIII. Writing on his own initiative, Gilbert offered much of the standard spiritual advice to the religiously inclined princess. However, he also included a sophisticated section on spiritual ascent based on Pseudo-Dionysius. Title note supplied by Feminae.].
