Title:
Yseut e Richeut [Beroul and other writers about Tristan and Isolde knew the tales of Richeut, a courtesan who evolved into a devoted mother. Isolde is compared to Richeut when she shows her conniving and sensual side. Differences remained, including the causal role of magic in Isolde's relationship with Tristan compared to Richeut's use of magic merely to accomplish her ends. Title note supplied by Feminae.]
