This poem is a continuation of the
Veronica
, both written by the author Wilder Mann. It concerns the Emperor Vespasian's need for a cure and Veronica's travel to Rome with the veil on which Christ's face is imprinted. When Vespasian is healed and converted to Christianity by Veronica he mounts an attack on Jerusalem as a punishment against the Jews. Little is known about the author.
