Abstract:
The paleopathological diagnosis of calcified uterine fibroleiomyosis is based on macroscopic, radiographic, microscopic, microradiographic, submicroscopic and cristallographic criteria. The inventory mentions 7 cases, of which 2 cases dating from Early Middle Ages and 2 from Middle Ages [sic]. The frequency of calcified uterine leiomynomas, from Neolithic periods to Middle Ages, seems not to be inferior to the one of today.
