Processing past date trees are saints Vincentia, Valeria, Crispina, Lucia, and Cecilia. Each wears jeweled robes and holds a crown in their veiled hands. These saints, as well as other female saints not pictured, are depicted as being led by the three magi in a procession from the city of Classe to the enthroned Virgin and Child (not shown).
