Title:
Shield of Parade
Creator:
Description:
A knight kneels before a woman in a courtly dress. He wears a suit of armor while his helmet, gauntlets and axe lay at his feet. As the knight entreats the woman, the figure of Death rises behind him and prepares to snatch him. The scroll above the knight's head could either represent his speech to the lady or serve as a motto.
