Description:
Paul of Bernried wrote the
Life of Herluca of Epfach
about a devout laywoman who was his friend and counselor. Herluca performed deeds of charity and championed virginity. She urged married couples to live chastely. As a supporter of Pope Gregory’s reforms, Paul saw Herluca’s visions as an important reminder of Gregorian doctrine. [Description supplied by Feminae.]
