Perche Eustochio [The name of Saint Jerome’s female disciple Eustochium was adapted from the Greek. In Italian it was rendered as Eustochio or Eustochia. The Franciscan Observants were interested in Jerome, and so his disciple’s name was used to tie a saintly nun from Messina to this cult. Title note supplied by Feminae.].
