Translatio fontis et passio martyris: Narrative Diptych in Hrotsvitha's "Gongolfus" [Hrotsvitha wrote a short hagiographical poem about the life and miracles of Saint Gongolf, the patron of cuckolded husbands. Gongolf was a saintly warrior who performed miracles including ones that revealed the guilt of his adulterous wife. Hrotsvitha emphasizes the power of faith in her text.
