  • Illustrations: Twenty-two figures. Figures One through Ten reproduce decorations on the buckets. Figure Eleven shows two drawings of the Daphne mosaic pavement. Figures Twelve through Fourteen show other mosaic hunting scenes, one with Dido, another with Artemis at the center. Figure Fifteen reproduces parts of consular diptychs of Areobindus with details of staged hunts in the amphitheater. Figure Sixteen shows scenes from an inlaid bronze bowl including Apollo at his temple in Daphne. Figures Seventeen through Twenty-two are mosaics, friezes on metal buckets, and line drawings of decorations, all showing buckets being used in bathing scenes.
  • Table: Four tables. Table One charts the characteristics of eighteen brass. silver, and glass buckets ("situlae"). Table Two lists the Greek inscriptions (with translations) on the brass buckets and copper wash basins. Table Three lists the names of the hunters on the Amherst bucket and the Daphne mosaic pavement. Table Four shows the families of Ardabur, Areobindus, and Hierius. The Daphne mosaic mentions Ardabur, a consul, who spent time in Antioch.
