Fourteen illustrations. Ten photographs. Seven represent interior views or architectural details of the Cathedral of Saint Pierre. Note in particular Figure Two, a detail from the stained glass window of the crucifixion, showing Eleanor, Henry, and their children at the feet of the cross. Two figures illustrate English military architecture that influenced the Cathedral at Poitiers. Figure Eight is a view of the nave of the Cathedral at Angers. Figure Four is a drawing of the elevation of the Poitiers Cathedral taken from a nineteenth century study. Three line drawings. Figure A is a map showing the location of the Poitiers Cathedral and the names of nearby streets. Figure B is a plan of the choir of the Poitiers Cathedral. Figure C represents the various kinds of vaulting used for the arches and the windows in the Poitiers Cathedral.
