It attempts to synthesize her spirituality for the contemporary reader. Her own pilgrim's progress from self-love to pure love provides the framework for this exploration of her teaching. She experiences herself as formed out of love (creation), deformed by self-love (sin), reformed and transformed by pure love (grace and glory).
