This tomb effigy presents Doña Maria Vilalobos, wife of Lopo Fernandes Pacheco, 7th Lord of Ferreira de Aves, reading a book, most likely a Book of Hours, and looking very much alive. It is comparable to the tomb effigy of Eleanor of Aquitaine at Fontevrault.
