Title:
Gift of the Heart
Creator:
Description:
In a garden, a man offers his heart to a woman. In one hand she holds a plucked rose over her lap and with the other she holds a falcon--a symbol of sexual voraciousness tamed. The other animals in the scene symbolize the positive qualities of a happy union: the rabbits signify fertility and a desire to mate, and the dog jumps towards the woman's lap--the place where the man would like to be.
