Title:
Pictish Matriliny Reconsidered [The author argues that not enough evidence exists either to prove or to disprove the theory, set forth and refuted by researchers, that Pictish royal succession was matrilineal. Woolf takes the position that Pictish matriliny is unlikely, explaining that the lack of supporting genealogical material may cause the Pictish king-list to appear more unusual than it actually is.
