Virginity Now and Then: A Response to "Medieval Virginities" [The author comments on the essays in the collection with particular interest in how they extend the current scholarship on the concept and meanings of virginity in the Middle Ages. Wogan-Browne adds a short case study concerning her research into the understanding and representation of the hymen both in the Middle Ages and the present day.
